400Hurdles -
- Kathleen dropped her time by 4 seconds breaking 75 for the first time
- Eileen dropped her time another 2 seconds and ran a confident race for a change
- Katelyn dropped her time almost 3 seconds from Saturday - we're on track!
100M -
- Giulia, Dana, and Alyssa all stepped up and ran 13.8's an improvement from the last couple weeks for all of them and a season best for Dana and Giulia
1600M -
- Lilia ran a season best 5:47
- Alexa, after a huge PB on Saturday, dropped another 5 seconds to run 6:05
- Deb Kim also smashed all her previous times, clocking in at 6:07
400M -
- Paula and Emily both ran the open 400 for the first time all year and both ran season bests. Emily at 61 and Paula right behind her at 62. WOW!!!!!!!
- Rachel and Lisa both put out impressive efforts to finish at 65
- And Anna ran 69 to round out the quintet of killer 400's
800M -
- I can't say what I was really going through my head after this race, but something like this - HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!!! DID THAT REALLY JUST HAPPEN!!!!!!!
- Julianne, having never run an 800 before, just went for it and came out with the best 800 on the team for the whole season - 2:31! What!!! And while the officials called it differently we all know she won the race.
- Meanwhile, not to be outdone by her sister, Laura stayed on Julianne's heels the whole race and finished at 2:35!!
100M Hurdles -
- Dorrie, Katelyn, and Kathleen all ran almost stride for stride with each other over all ten hurdles. Katelyn and Kathleen both ran 18.2, a season best for each of them, while Dorrie broke into the 17's again and as far as I'm concerned won the race on the lean.
- Eileen ran a 19.4 and once again ran a much more confident and consistent race.
3200M -
- Katie turned in another strong performance running 12:25 and almost catching the Rumson girl at the very end - start that kick a little sooner!
4x400 -
- All four girls ran great times with Dorrie leading off with her season best split 63. Kathleen followed with a season best split of 64.9 and did a fine job trying to stay close to a girl who ran 59 sec. Lisa and the Rachel finished off the relay with strong splits of 66 and 65 respectively. Just so you know the anchor for Rumson ran a 57.
In the field -
- Michelle scored in all three events with a Season best in the shot and a win in the javelin
- The girls swept the javelin, the triple jump, and the long jump with Lisa Yan posting another 32+' jump in the triple.
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST - THE QUEEN HORNET OF THE MEET IS:
- ALAINA BONTALES WHO CONTINUED IMPROVING IN THE POLE VAULT, CLEARING 8' AND TIEING THE SCHOOL RECORD
Check out all the awesome results from Mondays meet!
