- For those who ended on a high note it is incredibly important that you keep that momentum going. Take a couple of days and then get back to training. Try some cross training and definitely get in the weight room or at least keep doing push-ups and crunches. Keep the fire burning and set new goals for the spring season. Write them down and put them somewhere you will see them everyday. Stay focused and don't be afraid to reach high. I have great expectations for this spring.
- For those who ended on a low note now is the time to make a decision. Do you really still want this? Do you still love competing or do you just love running? There is a big difference. If you just love running and don't care for the competition anymore, well honestly you don't need a team to do that. Take some time off from the running and see what happens. See if you can find the desire to train hard everyday and push yourself harder than ever before. Because that is what it is going to take to get back into the competition and to live up to your ability.
REMEMBER TO SEE NURSE CAFFREY ABOUT YOUR ELIGIBILITY. ALL PAPERWORK NEEDS TO BE IN BY THE END OF THE WEEK. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE ELSE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT JOINING THE TEAM BRING THEM TO SEE ME. WE CAN ALWAYS USE A FEW MORE DEDICATED ATHLETES. THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERYONE.
Are we actually doing all those twilight meets?? I would love to run in them but it seemed like last year we had a lot scheduled but then didn't really run in them very much, like I think the guys did more twilight meets. So are we definitely doing them this year? That would be exciting :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know exactly how many we will run, but I would like to do as many as possible. I always post everything we might go to just so people don't make plans. Running under the lights is always exciting!!
